Happy Opening Day everyone!! Today was the first day of the baseball season for the Brewers! I’m so proud of Jimmy making the Opening Day roster for the second year in a row! The Brewers are under what they call a “rebuild” so we’ve seen a lot of trades happen and we have a lot of young prospects in the minor leagues hoping to make the team soon. We’re a really young team (it was the first opening day for 17 guys on the 25 man roster!) and with the turnover we’ve seen, it was almost all new wives and girlfriends in the stands today.
It can be a little rough losing good friends in trades, demotions, or releases. But of course, baseball is a business first so those things happen. Just means I’ll be getting to know a lot of new people this season!
Miller Park concessions have been completely redone this year which is so exciting! They now have AJ Bombers (a seriously good burger place), tacos, barbecue, and sausage available right where our seats are. They also added two huge bar areas on the first and third baseline. They have tons of cocktail options, too! There were moscow mules (my favorite), margaritas, vodka lemonades, bloody marys, and tons more! And every year, there’s a lady in a popcorn trailer that makes the best popcorn ever!! It helps that she smothers it in melted butter! Gotta live a little, right?! My friend Megan and I walked around the stadium to snap some pictures and obviously I had to take one with Chorizo! He’s my favorite of the sausages.
And every year I make Jimmy take a photo with me outside of the clubhouse. They have the best logo sign! I’m hoping he has a great season this year. He works so hard for it!
Ok I better get to cooking dinner! Hope you guys loved this post, thanks for stopping by!
